Giving Options

For more than 80 years, Loretto has provided long term care services to older adults in Central New York. Each gift to the Loretto Foundation will help to support the future of quality and accessible long-term health care for Central New York’s frail elderly.

Loretto continues to maximize financial reimbursements through traditional government reimbursements, but reimbursements are declining. As challenges grow because of economic uncertainty, state and federal cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, fewer people over the age of 80, and limited access to capital, Loretto will need your support to continue its mission: to honor, serve, and empower every elder and those who care for them to live with purpose, wholeness, and dignity.

Loretto graciously accepts gifts of any kind to help us achieve our mission to honor serve and empower every elder and those who care for them to live with purpose, wholeness and dignity.

A Wonderful Life Tribute Program

Upon the death of a loved one, many families designate Loretto to receive memorial contributions in remembrance of a loved one and to honor Loretto’s care. Others give a gift through the Loretto Tribute Program in honor of a special occasion, anniversary or to acknowledge the work and exceptional service of Loretto employees or volunteers.

When you make a gift, please include the name of the person you are memorializing or honoring and where you would like the acknowledgement sent. (Either to the family for memorial gifts or the individual for honorary gifts.) We will send a letter to notify the family or individual of your thoughtfulness.

Leaf tribute ceremonies are held annually on Mother’s Day and Grandparents Day. Private ceremonies can also be scheduled.

There are four A Wonderful Life Tribute Trees located at The Heritage The Nottingham, PACE CNY North and the Cunningham. Leaf levels are:

  • Bronze - $250
  • Silver - $500
  • Gold - $1,000
  • Branch - $2,500

Loretto Legends Concert Series

It first presented three Broadway legends, beginning in 2006 with Carol Channing, followed by the late Robert Goulet in 2007, and then Chita Rivera in 2008. The Loretto Foundation then presented comedian Bob Newhart in 2009 and singer Tony Bennett in 2010 and will present Neil Sedaka on October 6, 2011!
